It’s Friday, which means it’s another Top 5 day! I’m still on my self-care week, which means even though these haven’t had a ton of work to them I’m still going to take it kinda easy and do a light-on-the-writing topic for this week’s top 5.
Like most gamers who have Steam, I’ve amassed a library of games through sales but haven’t gotten the chance to play a lot of them. So this week I’m going to be going through my Steam library and picking out the top 5 games I have in my library that I bought but have never actually touched! Enjoy!
5. Lone Survivor
A 2D survival horror game that was released in 2012. Looked really cool, got it in a Steam sale…never got around to playing it. Heard great things, though!
4. Crysis
Crysis was kind of a big deal on PC…back in 2007 when it pushed graphics to their limits. I got it many years later with the intent to see what all the hullabaloo was about, but never even installed it.
3. Party Hard
A semi-stealth game where you are a normal guy who just wants a good night’s sleep and will murder everyone to get it. When it came out in 2015 I saw quite a few Let’s Plays of it that piqued my interest. Of course, my interest never went beyond opening my wallet and purchasing the game during a sale, though!
2. Halfway
A futuristic turn-based strategy RPG from 2014 that caught my eye and was added to my wishlist. When I upgraded my computer last summer, this was one of the four games I bought at the top of my wishlist in celebration. Sadly of the four, this is the one I haven’t even touched yet despite it being six months later and still installed on my not-as-new-anymore PC.
1. Gemini Rue
Released in 2011, this caught my eye almost immediately due to it being a point-and-click old school adventure game in the cyberpunk/noir genre. The first time it was on sale on Steam I bought it with the intent to play it. Eight years later, I still really want to play this game and always eye it thinking “Next time I’m not playing through some other game.” Currently, it’s “You know what, it’s been eight years. As soon as I’m done with Kingdom Hearts 3, I’m gonna play this game.” We’ll see, me. We’ll see.
And that’ll do it for this week’s top 5! See you next week!
